Conditions of Hire

Number of people allowed to stay

The maximum number of people (adults plus children) allowed to sleep in our cottages is
Rowan Cottage 6
Stonefolds Cottage 4
Stonefolds Farm Bothy 3
In certain circumstances we can add a fold up bed for one extra child, please inquire for details.
We allow 2 cots in Rowan Cottage and Stonefolds Cottage and 1 cot in Stonefolds Farm Bothy.
The number of people allowed to stay in the cottages is the number stated at the time of booking. If you wish to increase this number please contact us prior to you stay so this can be arranged
 

Payment

A non-returnable deposit has to be paid to us within 1 week of us accepting a booking. Please see relevant cottage page for amount of deposit required. The balance is due to be paid 4 weeks before the start of the let. If the booking is within 4 weeks of the start of the let the full rental is required on booking. Please make cheques payable to S. McNiven, alternatively bank transfers can be arranged on request. We do not take cards due to excessive charges.

If you cancel your booking a refund will only be made if we can re-let the cottage for the period of the booking. If successful we will refund your deposit and balance, if already paid, less a £20 administration fee. We recommend you take holiday insurance to cover your payment.

The owners accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to guests and/or their belongings or for damage to any motor vehicle or contents. Any damage or breakages while staying in a cottage are your responsibility and we reserve the right to make an appropriate charge for any damage. Minor breakages are not usually charged, but please inform us as soon as possible so they can be replaced before the next guests.

We expect all our guests to respect our properties and leave them in a clean and tidy condition.

No smoking in any of the cottages. No pets accepted.
