Our Cottages -Luxury holiday cottages at Fyvie, Turriff in central Aberdeenshire

All our cottages were purpose built as holiday cottages to provide a range of high quality, comfortable accommodation for everyone from individuals to families. Our aim is to provide everything you will need for a relaxing stay.

Although we are currently not members of the green tourism sheme our cottages are very 'green'. We encourage recycling with the provisoin of bins. We use only low energy lighting and all our appliances are low energy. We have solar water heating in Rowan Cottage and we have erected a C & F Greenenergy 15kw wind turbine on the farm this will supply electricity to the cottages and the farm. We will still require electric from the national grid when it is not windy. Recently we planted 5 acres of native trees and 6000 metres of hedging round our fields. These connect to heges and shelter belts we planted a few years ago creating wildlife corridors

We built the first cottage in 2003 and the last one in 2009. They were all designed by ourselves and we personally managed the build which was undertaken by local contractors.

Stonefolds is a working farm, however, visitors are welcome to look round the farm and we are usually available to answer any questions you may have about how we farm. In spring children are welcome to come and feed pet lambs and in the winter there are cattle to feed in the sheds.
